Tour departure / Pick-up / drop-off service
All day tours booked start from our sales desk & departures at Harpa Concert Hall, downtown Reykjavik, at the departure time given on your voucher. It is the passengers’ responsibility to arrive at our ticket desk in time to check in for their tour and to board the tour bus at the tour departure time written on their voucher. We offer a complimentary pick-up service from hotels and hostels within the capital area for all our day tours. Passengers wanting to take advantage of the pick-up service are requested to wait outside their hotel 30 minutes prior to tour departure (45 minutes for the northern lights tours).
Sterna Travel reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or timetables should the necessity arise, including irregularities due to adverse weather or road conditions. No responsibility is taken for losses or expenses due to delay or changes of flights, injury, damaged, negligence, weather, war or other unforeseeable causes. The estimated duration of tours as indicated on our website are standard times and can vary according to road or weather conditions and delays may occur for unforeseen reasons.
If you cancel your tour at least 24 hours’ prior departure, we will fully refund your ticket. Cancellations received outside of the time limits can not be refunded. Single leg of a return ticket is non-refundable.

Sterna Travel offers a family discount for children travelling with an adult, maximum of two children or youth per adult. Please note that this family discount does not apply for groups such as school groups.
Special terms for Northern lights tours:
The northern lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed even if the tour is operated. We decide after 17:00 every day if conditions are favourable to operate the tour. We post on Facebook if we are not going ahead with the tour, but you can also call us on the day you are booked or ask your hotel reception whether we are operating or not. If you don´t see any Northern Lights on your Deluxe tour, you are welcome to join the Northern lights bus tour on another night for free. If you book a Northern Lights Bus tour or Northern lights Deluxe tour, but conditions do not allow us to run the tour during your stay, you will receive a full refund. Please note that if the tour is not operated or if you don’t see any lights, you must reschedule your tour by calling us at +354 551 1166 or e-mailing to email@example.com – tours are not rescheduled automatically.
