Practical tour information
Hauganes is a small fishing village in Eyjafjörður. Fishing has been the main industry but Hauganes is also becoming a very popular tourist destination. Whale Watching Hauganes is the oldest whale watching tour operator in Iceland. With them you can enjoy a comfortable tour while observing the fantastic scenery, bird life, and of course the diverse range of whale species of Eyjafjordur. An option to see Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Harbour Porpoise, and White Beaked Dolphins. The Baccalá Bar, a local seafood restaurant situated in Hauganes, where it is ideal to have some refreshments (lunch not included) before you hop on the bus to Akureyri again.

Departures: From Akureyri campsite at 08:10 and from Hafnarstræti 82 at 08:30.
Guidance: English on the boat (no guidance on the bus)
