The Pearl of the highlands
Practical tour information
We depart for a day in Landmannalaugar early in the morning and stop briefly in three villages on the South coast to pick up passengers. Landmannalaugar is one of the most popular hiking destinations in Iceland because of its unique and magnificent landscapes and a natural geothermal pool. We drive by the roots of Mt. Hekla, Iceland’s most active volcano and stop for six hours in Landmannalaugar that gives plenty of time to hike and take a rewarding bath. Hiking maps are sold on the bus.
