Every Sterna tour is led by a certified Icelandic guide. Our guides are local, multilingual, and trained in wilderness first aid — but more than that, they care about doing the day right.
Most of our team grew up around the routes they guide, from the Golden Circle and the south coast to Iceland's remote highlands. They share the geology behind the volcanoes and waterfalls, the sagas and folklore tied to each landmark, and the practical local knowledge that makes a day on the road run smoothly.
Between them, our guides speak a range of languages so you can enjoy the tour in one you're comfortable with, and they hold the certifications expected of professional Icelandic guides — from accredited guide training to first-aid and driving qualifications appropriate to each tour.
