About this tour
Lava Show is a Reykjavík original — the founders heat real basalt rock collected from the 1918 Katla eruption to 1,100°C and pour it into a custom-built channel inside a 80-seat theatre. You'll feel the radiant heat from your seat and watch the rock cool from molten orange to black glass in real time. Indoor, all-weather, ideal for an evening when highland tours are weathered out. Pairs naturally with FlyOver Iceland next door.
